The New York Times has an
article about Cicig, the International Commission Against Impunity in Guatemala. Guatemala, where organized crime and its links to the government form a much bigger problem than in Kosovo, has given some judicial powers to this UN institution in order to overcome political interference in the judicial process.

Kosovo's crime problem is used as support for the idea of annexing Kosovo to Serbia against its will. So, where are the calls to attach Guatemala to say, Mexico?
Of course there are none. The imperialists who want Serbia to re-colonize Kosovo are just looking for any excuse to denigrate Kosovo.
